About this shelter

San Diego Humane Society's El Cajon Campus in El Cajon, CA

San Diego Humane Society's El Cajon Campus is located in San Diego, California, roughly 15 miles southwest of the city, and is open Tuesday through Sunday from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM. As part of San Diego Humane Society, this campus supports a broader organization that provides lifesaving care to more than 40,000 pets and wildlife each year. The Humane Society offers a wide range of programs, including a Behavior Center, Community Support Services, a Kitten Nursery that cares for more than 2,000 orphaned kittens annually, Youth Programs, and Project Wildlife, which serves as the primary resource for wild animal rehabilitation in San Diego County. These programs work together to strengthen the human-animal bond, prevent cruelty and neglect, provide medical care, and offer safety-net services for pet families in need.
