Prospective adopters research pets, visit the shelter, fill out an adoption application, bring their family and any current pets for a meet & greet, and pay an adoption fee (fees vary by animal type and age, e.g. $50–$100 for cats/dogs, plus a mandatory microchipping fee); approval is first-come, first-served and GBHS can refuse any adopter.
