About this shelter
Montgomery Humane Society in Montgomery, AL
Montgomery Humane Society is a humane society located in Montgomery, Alabama, about 4 miles southwest of the city center, operating with the motto "saving lives… completing families." Founded in 1920, it has spent over a century preventing cruelty to animals by running an open-admission shelter that accepts all animals regardless of breed, age, or medical condition, alongside an adoption center, cruelty investigations, and public education on responsible pet ownership. The shelter is open daily, Monday through Sunday, from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and also offers services such as fostering, volunteering, spay/neuter, microchipping, and a community cat program.
