Adoption Process

All applicants residing within 120 miles of New York City must submit a written application, undergo a home visit conducted by an individual associated with AAR, sign a contract, and provide an adoption donation.

Anarchy Animal Rescue & Rehabilitation in YARDLEY, PA

Anarchy Animal Rescue was established in December 2010 to address two significant animal welfare issues: the high number of adoptable pets without homes and the abuse and mistreatment of animals in puppy mills. Our mission is to rescue as many pets as possible, provide them with necessary medical care, and place them in responsible, loving homes. After years of experience working in various animal shelters and volunteering with local rescue organizations, we decided to take initiative and pursue our passion for saving lives. Every year, millions of homeless, adoptable pets are surrendered to shelters that lack the resources to care for them, leading to high rates of euthanasia. This crisis is exacerbated by the purchasing of animals from pet stores and breeders, as well as the failure to spay or neuter pets. Each time someone buys a pet or allows their pet to breed, it directly contributes to the deaths of adoptable dogs and cats in shelters. To break this cycle, we focus on education, outreach, and promoting adoption. If more people chose to adopt from shelters and rescue groups, it would significantly reduce euthanasia rates in our communities. When shelters become overcrowded, we step in to assist by taking in pets, thereby freeing up space for other animals in need and decreasing the number of animals that are euthanized. Puppy mills are commercial breeding operations that prioritize profit over animal welfare. The dogs in these facilities are treated as products rather than living beings. Approximately 99% of pet store puppies are sourced from puppy mills, where their parents endure terrible conditions, often confined in cages until they can no longer produce viable puppies. Once deemed unprofitable, these breeding dogs are often killed in inhumane ways, unless we intervene. We work to rescue some of these dogs, providing rehabilitation, medical treatment, and spaying or neutering before finding them loving homes. Many of these dogs have never experienced the simple joys of being a pet, having spent their entire lives in confinement. We rely on the support of donations, volunteers, foster homes, and adopters to continue our mission. Without this crucial assistance, we would be unable to carry out our work effectively. Anarchy Animal Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and a proud member of Best Friends Animal Society.
