BIBDR is a licensed non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing black dogs that are homeless, abandoned, or unwanted. In addition to providing shelter and care for these dogs, we promote the importance of spaying and neutering, vaccinating, and ensuring regular veterinary visits. We also work to raise awareness about black dog syndrome, particularly in the southern United States, and educate northern communities about the challenges faced by southern shelters, including the high rates of euthanasia resulting from an overwhelmed shelter system.
