Shelter Pals is dedicated to raising awareness about dogs and cats housed at Animal Talk Medical Center, the animal control holding facility for O'Fallon and Wentzville, Missouri. Our mission is to help reunite lost pets with their families, connect with potential adopters, and seek rescue for homeless animals. We operate independently from the animal control facility and do not function as a rescue organization. Instead, we are a team of committed volunteers striving to improve the lives of homeless pets in our community.

Adoption process

At Animal Talk, we believe that adopted pets can become some of the most loving companions. These animals are grateful for the opportunity to join a new family. Our adoption process is designed to ensure that you and your chosen pet are the perfect match. We provide a designated area where you can spend time with your potential pet to help you both become acquainted. A staff member will discuss your home environment and lifestyle to ensure that you can provide a suitable setting for the pet you select. Once you have chosen your future pet, we will handle the necessary vaccinations and spay or neuter procedures. The adoption fee of $130 covers these vaccinations, microchipping, and general care for the animal.
