Animal House Fund in St Louis, MO
In August 2010, we took in all cats from the Gasconade Shelter, which is the animal control facility for the city, after they ceased housing cats and dogs. We respond to calls regarding stray cats in the city and collaborate closely with the TNR Group Metro Animal Resource Services. As a private non-profit organization, we do not receive any funding from St. Louis City.

Adoption process
The adoption process includes the completion of a pre-adoption questionnaire, as well as vet and rental checks, home counseling, and suitability assessments. An adoption contract must also be signed. All animals are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated before adoption. Kittens available for adoption must be at least 12 weeks old, and adoptions are limited to individuals aged 18 and older. The adoption fee is $100, and follow-up support is provided after the adoption. Bonded pairs of animals will be placed together. Special needs cats and kittens undergo careful screening. Please note that we only accept cats by appointment; drop-offs are not permitted.
