Wayward Whiskers Cat Rescue in San Antonio, TX

Wayward Whiskers Cat Rescue is an independent organization based in San Antonio, dedicated to rescuing special needs cats and kittens. Founded in January 2013 by Sherry Pfau, the organization focuses on saving less adoptable animals that may otherwise face abandonment or euthanasia. All cats and kittens at Wayward Whiskers are spayed or neutered, de-wormed, vaccinated, tested for FIV and FeLV, provided with flea prevention, and cared for until they are adopted into permanent homes. Additionally, any cat requiring treatment for an injury or illness will receive appropriate care prior to adoption. Wayward Whiskers Cat Rescue is an approved partner of Animal Care Services and is a recognized non-profit organization in Texas. The organization plans to apply for 501(c)(3) status in 2014.
