Houston Area Doberman Rescue in Cypress, TX

The Houston Area Doberman Rescue, Inc. (HADR) is a nonprofit organization recognized under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, which means that we do not have any paid volunteers. As a result, donations made to HADR may be tax-deductible; we recommend consulting your tax advisor for details. Our mission focuses on rescuing, rehabilitating, and placing Doberman Pinschers in loving and responsible homes. Additionally, we aim to educate the public about the breed and promote responsible dog ownership. We advocate for Doberman Pinschers that have been lost, abandoned, or abused. Our services include vaccinating, microchipping, spaying/neutering, and treating heartworm before placing the dogs in new homes. We only place dogs that have stable temperaments and are in reasonable health. We maintain veterinary records and ensure that the dogs are up-to-date on heartworm preventative while in our care. We are committed to finding the right match for each dog, considering both the needs of the adoptive homes and the temperament of the dog. At HADR, we recognize the importance of breed education. Many Doberman Pinschers find themselves in shelters or become strays due to a lack of understanding about the breed. We strive to educate the public that Doberman Pinschers are companion animals and not merely guard dogs to be left unattended in a yard. We emphasize the importance of proper socialization, ongoing training for dogs of all ages, and meeting the activity requirements of this working breed. As a nonprofit organization, HADR relies entirely on donations, and we are deeply grateful for any support you can provide.
