Dachshund Lovers of Texas is a nonprofit organization recognized under section 501(c)(3). We operate as an all-volunteer, foster-based, no-kill rescue group dedicated to the welfare of dachshunds. Our mission is rooted in the belief that supporting pets positively impacts people, and we hold that every life is valuable and deserving of care and compassion.

Adopting from Dachshund Lovers of Texas
Adoption process
To initiate the adoption process, we ask that an adoption application be completed. We will verify veterinary references to ensure that any current pets are spayed or neutered and up to date on vaccinations and heartworm prevention. An adoption contract must be signed at the time of adoption. The fee for adopting adult dogs is $200, while the fee for adopting senior dogs is $175.
