Take Me Home Pet Rescue, Inc. in Richardson, TX
Take Me Home Pet Rescue (TMHPR), based in Richardson, Texas, is a fully nonprofit organization dedicated to addressing the issue of pet overpopulation. We ensure that all rescued dogs and cats are sterilized, microchipped, and receive necessary medical attention before they are placed for adoption. To promote successful adoptions, we conduct reference checks and home visits to confirm suitable matches. Our rescued animals live in foster homes, allowing them to experience the care and affection of a family while they wait for their permanent homes. In January 2011, we established a storefront known as the Pet Adoption Center, located at 580 W Arapaho Rd Suite 433, Richardson, TX 75080. This center serves as our main office, a storage facility for supplies, a space for isolating incoming animals, and a venue for our weekend adoption events. Each dog and cat in our care receives tailored medical treatment. All pets are sterilized, vaccinated, dewormed, and microchipped. We frequently provide heartworm treatment, address orthopedic fractures, and manage internal injuries. Additionally, we often accept pregnant or nursing animals into our program. Our primary objective is to ensure that each pet is healthy, sterilized, and compatible with potential adopters, thereby minimizing the likelihood of return. We carefully screen all prospective adopters to ensure that the personalities and energy levels of both the pet and the family align well.
