RPSM is a prison dog program that benefits both dogs and individuals. The program focuses on rescuing overlooked dogs from shelters due to behavioral issues. Every ten weeks, a group of 14 dogs participates in the program to learn proper manners. Upon completion of their training, these dogs are adopted into approved homes. This initiative creates a win-win-win situation: the dogs gain good behavior and find forever families, families receive trained dogs, and inmates acquire valuable skills that will help them secure employment upon their release.
