Adoption Process

To begin the adoption process, please visit our website at www.afgwm.org and complete the online application. If you do not have internet access, you can call Allies for Greyhounds at (866) 929-3647 to request a paper application. Upon receiving your application, a local volunteer will reach out to schedule a home visit. This meeting allows us to connect in person, get to know each other, and address any questions you may have. The home visit is a crucial step in the adoption process. Once you are approved, we will assist you in selecting a dog that best suits your needs and lifestyle. We believe in helping you find the right match rather than imposing any specific dog on you. The adoption fee of $225 covers the cost of spaying or neutering, dental cleaning, updated vaccinations, a three-month supply of heartworm preventative, a martingale-style collar specifically designed for Greyhounds, a leash, and, of course, your new Greyhound companion. Additionally, you will gain access to a vibrant Greyhound community where owners share their knowledge and passion for this remarkable breed.
