Adoption Process

The adoption process begins with the completion of an application. Following this, we conduct reference checks, review veterinary records for any current pets, and perform home visits before finalizing an adoption. Adoption fees vary based on the dog, ranging from $200 to $300. All dogs are spayed or neutered and up to date on all required vaccinations prior to adoption.

Sadie's Safe Harbor Canine Rescue is a nonprofit organization dedicated to rescuing animals that have been abandoned in high-kill shelters and those surrendered directly by owners who can no longer care for them. Thanks to our dedicated network of volunteers, foster homes, boarding facilities, trainers, and veterinary support, we are able to offer a second chance to many deserving dogs. We ensure a safe and quality environment in our temporary foster homes while we seek to find them loving forever homes through a thorough adoption process.
