Adoption Process

The adoption process begins with the prospective adopter submitting an application. Once the application is received, it will be reviewed carefully. After the review, the adopter will be informed of their application status. If the application is approved, arrangements will be made for the adoption. A contract is required to finalize the process. Currently, a donation of $100 is typically requested, although this amount may vary based on specific circumstances.

Service Areas

Our organization is based in New York City, but we have expanded our services to include areas as far as Massachusetts and Ohio, and we can arrange transportation when needed. We also serve locations such as Westchester and Albany without any issues.

We are an IRC 501(c)(3) public charity dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming companion animals at risk. Our focus is on animals with what some may refer to as "special needs," but we view these pets as simply special. This includes cats with three legs, those with neurological conditions affecting balance and coordination, dogs facing euthanasia due to treatable conditions such as broken limbs, and cats with treatable contagious conditions. We primarily rescue animals from the NYC Animal Care Centers, which are required to accept every animal brought to them, resulting in an overwhelming number of strays, owner surrenders, and animals seized due to cruelty or eviction. We provide treatment for all manageable conditions and work to find loving homes for these animals. Our organization is entirely volunteer-based; no one receives compensation for their time, efforts, or skills, and we are motivated by a deep love and respect for the animals we serve.
