Adoption Process

The adoption process includes submitting an adoption application, checking references, conducting a home visit, arranging a meet and greet, and signing an adoption contract. Adoption donations range from $175 to $250.

We serve Buffalo, New York, Erie County, and the broader Western New York region. Occasionally, we accommodate long-distance adoptions if we can identify a local rescue representative in the applicant's area who can conduct a home visit.

We are a small home-based rescue organization dedicated to saving dogs, averaging one new dog every four months. Our focus is primarily on Beagles and hounds, particularly those from high-kill shelters. We often assist special needs and senior dogs. We ensure that all our dogs are up-to-date on vaccinations, spayed or neutered prior to adoption, and on current heartworm and flea prevention. Our adoption contract stipulates that if an adopter can no longer keep the dog for any reason, the dog must be returned to us. Additionally, the contract requires adopters to provide us with regular updates on the dog's well-being.
