Adoption Process

Applicants are required to complete a pre-adoption application, which includes a non-refundable fee of $25. After approval of the application, a home visit will be scheduled. If the home visit is approved, the applicants will have the opportunity to meet our available dogs. Once a match is made with a dog, the adoption fee will range from $250 to $400, depending on the specific dog. Requirements for adoption may vary based on the dog and can include restrictions such as no children, the need for a fenced yard, or no other dogs in the household. An adoption contract will also be established.

Doberman Rescue Minnesota in Minneaoplis, MN

Doberman Rescue Minnesota (DRM) is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization run entirely by volunteers, established in 2000. All Dobermans in our program are placed in private homes with foster families, allowing us to offer optimal care and make informed recommendations for their permanent homes. We are dedicated to ensuring a high quality of life for all Dobermans, just as we do for our own pets. In 2015, DRM successfully placed over eighty Dobermans in loving forever homes, marking our most successful year to date. Our mission is to rescue and re-home abandoned, neglected, and abused Dobermans, while also educating the public about the Doberman breed.
