We are a rescue organization in Minnesota that focuses specifically on German Shepherds. Our four co-founders have significant experience with both German Shepherds and rescue efforts. We established Saving Shepherds of Minnesota to address the need for a dedicated German Shepherd rescue in our region.

Adopting from Saving Shepherds of Minnesota

Adoption process

To initiate the adoption or fostering process, applicants must submit a completed application, undergo reference and veterinary checks, and participate in a home visit. The fee for adoption is $500.00, plus applicable state, city, and county sales tax. All dogs will be spayed or neutered and vaccinated before adoption. If a dog is too young for spaying or neutering, a deposit is required, which will be refunded once the procedure is completed.

Service area: We collaborate with adopters across the entire United States. Our organization is located in the Twin Cities area of Minnesota.
