Adoption Process

Prior to adoption, all pets are spayed or neutered and up to date on vaccinations. To adopt a pet, applicants must complete an adoption application, which includes reference checks, a home visit conducted by a representative, and signing an adoption contract. Adoption fees vary based on the dog's age and health. Please note that we do not offer same-day or on-site adoptions. Additionally, we collaborate with Pap911 Rescue & Adoption, a national rescue organization based in Marietta, GA.

Rock Falls Rocky Start in Mondovi, WI

Since the early 1990s, we have been dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming animals independently. Over the years, we have collaborated with and fostered for various rescue organizations. Currently, our primary focus is on Papillons and other toy and small dog breeds that are suffering in puppy mills that have proliferated throughout Wisconsin. These dogs often experience difficult beginnings, but with the support of Rocky Start Rescue, they have the opportunity for a better and more loving future.
