Andalusia Animal Shelter

My name is Christin, and I have been working at this facility for seven years. I intend to continue my work here as long as I am able. Initially, I was the sole employee at the shelter, but a few months ago, I successfully advocated for additional support from the city. I oversee the day-to-day operations of the shelter, which includes managing adoptions, scheduling spay and neuter appointments, organizing fundraising efforts, securing sponsorships, and recently learning about the grant application process. My commitment to this role is driven by a passion for helping animals, not only in my county but wherever I can make a difference. I believe that every pet deserves a chance at life, love, and happiness, and I feel that a higher purpose has guided me to this work. I take every opportunity to educate the public on various animal-related topics. This job is incredibly rewarding, and I leave each day knowing that I have done everything possible for the animals in my care and have worked to advocate for their well-being.
