Adoption Process

We facilitate the placement of farmed animals in pet homes. Our adoption process includes an interview and a virtual walkthrough of the enclosures where the adopted animals will reside, ensuring that all expectations are met. Prospective adopters also have the chance to meet the animals in person at our sanctuary located on Whidbey Island, near Seattle. We charge a nominal adoption fee of up to $250, depending on the specific animal, and require adopters to sign a contract outlining the care and treatment expected for the animal.

Ballydídean Farm Sanctuary in Clinton, WA

Ballydean is dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming farmed animals that are unwanted, neglected, or abused. We provide tours and community education to allow individuals to connect with animals they usually encounter only as food. This experience encourages them to reconsider their relationship with farmed animals.
