Canine Health Education and Welfare in Gig Harbor, WA
CHEW Dog Rescue was established to address the issue of overcrowding in shelters and to assist community dogs that have been abandoned. With nine years of volunteer experience, I specialize in caring for pregnant dogs and abandoned puppies. We rescue animals from local shelters and the surrounding community. The mothers and puppies receive necessary medical care, socialization, and vaccinations, and they are placed for adoption once they are old enough. All mothers are spayed before adoption. I am passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of these dogs, providing them with a solid foundation so they can find loving forever homes and become cherished companions.

Adopting from this shelter
Adoption process
The first step in the adoption process is to complete an application. Once the application is reviewed and determined to be a suitable match, a meet and greet will be scheduled. If the meet and greet is successful, we will proceed by contacting references and conducting a video home safety inspection. Following these steps, the adoption can be finalized. An adoption contract will be signed, and an adoption fee of $300.00 will be collected.
