Los Perros Perdidos Foundation in Incline Village, NV

I traveled to Cancun for leisure and felt a strong urge to assist the dogs in the area. Upon my return, I connected with Karin, who has been dedicated to rescuing street dogs for many years as her full-time occupation. Together, we established a nonprofit organization and are in the process of building a network of supporters. Currently, Karin and I are financing our efforts ourselves, but we are actively seeking fundraising opportunities to expand our initiatives.

Adoption process

Our adoption process includes a detailed application. We request that prospective adopters follow us on Facebook. A video of the home and yard is required as part of the application. We conduct a phone interview and then arrange an in-person meeting when the adopter comes to meet the dog. There is an adoption fee of $400, which helps cover our costs, which are actually more than double that amount.

Service area: In Cancun, Mexico, my partner is dedicated to rescuing dogs from the streets. They provide spaying, neutering, vaccinations, and rehabilitation for these animals. Once the dogs are ready for adoption, we transport them to the United States. I then foster these dogs in Lake Tahoe until they can be placed in suitable forever homes.
