Adoption Process

The adoption process begins with the submission of an application. Following this, we conduct a home visit to assess the environment where the dog will reside. If the home visit is satisfactory, we will recommend a "pup party." This event allows the dog you wish to adopt to spend a few days with you to ensure a good match for everyone involved. Once the adoption is approved, you will be required to sign a contract and pay an adoption fee. This fee is not a purchase price but rather a donation that helps cover the medical expenses incurred to prepare the dog for adoption. All of our dogs are microchipped, vaccinated, spayed or neutered, and tested and treated for heartworms and intestinal parasites as necessary. They also receive monthly heartworm prevention and flea protection. Additionally, all animals in your home must be spayed or neutered, current on heartworm prevention, and up to date on all vaccinations, including rabies.
