PO Box 51609 Lafayette, Louisiana 70505About this shelter
Friends of Lafayette Animal Shelter in Lafayette, LA
Our main priority is preventing pet surrender. We strive to support families in keeping their pets by providing necessary resources and assistance. If rehoming becomes the only option, we facilitate the process without taking ownership of the pet. Additionally, we accept pets in need when foster care is available. Our surrender prevention program has achieved significant success. Another key focus is our collaboration with the local municipal shelter, where we assist with adoption efforts, promote pet adoptions, recruit volunteers, and provide information about available programs.
