Adoption Process

The adoption process includes the following steps: first, you will need to complete an application. Next, a background check will be conducted. After that, a contract will need to be signed. There is a fee of $100 associated with the process.

Tip Me Frederick is a non-profit organization dedicated to Trap-Neuter-Return-Manage (TNRM) initiatives for cats in Frederick, Maryland, and the surrounding areas. TNRM provides a humane method for managing and reducing populations of stray, feral, or barn cats. The name "Tip Me Frederick" refers to the practice of ear-tipping, which involves surgically removing the top 1/8 inch of a feral cat's left ear. This procedure serves as a national, and increasingly international, symbol indicating that a cat has been spayed or neutered and has received vaccinations. Each of these cats is cared for by a designated "colony caretaker" who looks after their ongoing daily needs. Tip Me Frederick was established to assist these caretakers in accessing the resources necessary to support their efforts.
