Adoption Process

The adoption process includes several steps. First, an application must be submitted. Next, a reference check will be conducted with the applicant's veterinarian. Following this, a home visit will be scheduled to ensure a suitable environment for the pet. Once these steps are completed, an adoption contract will be required. Please note that fees may vary based on specific circumstances.

Mutts Matter Rescue in Rockville, MD

MMR is a nonprofit organization recognized under section 501(c)(3) and operates entirely with volunteers, bringing together over 15 years of collective rescue experience. We collaborate with shelters and various organizations to rescue animals facing euthanasia, strays living on the streets, and those in unsafe environments. Our adoption services extend primarily to the Washington D.C., Virginia, and Maryland areas, with some exceptions made for specific dogs and situations outside of the tri-state area. Our mission is fueled by love, compassion, and hope.
