We are a small rescue organization based in Maryland, with volunteers across various states. Our mission is to rescue German Shorthaired Pointers from shelters, owner surrenders, or any situation where a dog is in need. We are motivated by the significant need to save these animals and our deep affection for them. It brings us immense joy to care for and rehabilitate these dogs, helping them regain their trust in humans. Our passion drives our work, and our focus is entirely on the well-being of the dogs we serve.

Adoption process

The first step in the adoption process with New Beginnings GSP Rescue is to complete an Adoption Application. After reviewing your application, one of our rescue volunteers will reach out to you via phone or email. We appreciate your patience, as we operate solely with volunteers. We will also contact your veterinarian to obtain information about your pet's routine healthcare and your overall responsibility as a pet owner. Please note that your veterinarian may require your permission to share this information with us. If the phone interview and veterinarian check are satisfactory, the next step is to schedule a home visit with one of our volunteers. Once all steps are completed and your home is approved, New Beginnings GSP Rescue will work to match you with a suitable dog. The duration of the adoption approval process can vary depending on the schedules and availability of both our volunteers and the applicant.
