Adoption Process

For dog adoptions, we require a pre-approved application along with photos of your home and yard to ensure a safe environment for your new pet. Once your application and photos are approved, we can arrange a meet and greet for you and your family. All dogs are spayed or neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped, and provided with a clean bill of health from our local veterinarian. The adoption fee for adult dogs over the age of one year is $250, while puppies under one year have an adoption fee of $350. This fee includes toys, food, and medical records at no additional cost. For cat adoptions, a pre-approved application is also necessary before scheduling a meet and greet. After approval, we can set a date for you and your family to meet the cat. All cats are spayed or neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped, and receive a clean bill of health from our local veterinarian. The adoption fee for adult cats over one year is $125, and for kittens under one year, it is $150. This fee likewise includes toys, food, and medical records at no extra charge. For information on adopting horses, donkeys, sheep, goats, and other animals, please contact us directly. All household members must consent to the adoption and be present during the meet and greet process. If you are interested in adopting a dog and have other dogs at home, those dogs must also attend the meet and greet to prevent behavioral issues. We reserve the right to decline applications without providing a reason.

We accept adoptions from California residents only.

St. Bonnie's Sanctuary/Lange Foundation in Canyon Country, CA

In 2007, the Lange Foundation acquired a 4.5-acre property in Canyon Country, located in the Santa Clarita Valley, thanks to a generous bequest. This property has provided us with the opportunity to expand our rescue efforts to include animals from neglected desert shelters. We rescue animals of various shapes, colors, sizes, and ages. We prioritize spaying and neutering to help decrease the population of homeless animals in California. Our mission is to save impounded companion animals and prepare them for a new, safe, and loving home. We are committed to supporting the animals we place in new environments.
