Adoption Process

The adoption donation is $300, payable at the time of signing the contract. The adoption process includes a home check, a veterinary reference, and two personal references. Our contract stipulates that if, for any reason, the adoptive owner is unable to provide appropriate care and housing for the pet, the animal must be returned to the rescue organization.

The Dog Squad Rescue in San Diego, CA

As the executive director of the rescue organization, I have a deep passion for dogs. My experience in rescuing animals began in my childhood, and as an adult, I have expanded my efforts to rescue and rehabilitate on a larger scale, particularly focusing on senior and hospice dogs that require additional love and care during the final stages of their lives. Our mission is to rescue dogs facing adoption barriers, providing them with rehabilitation and training until we can find responsible and loving homes. We also advocate for the importance of keeping people and pets together by offering educational resources and comprehensive training. When needed, we provide a safe haven for pets and their owners. We accept dogs of all breeds, sizes, and ages, with a primary focus on seniors aged seven years and older, as well as those in need of hospice care. Our foster base is the foundation of our rescue efforts. In addition to my work with the rescue, I am a designer and the owner of a restaurant and deli that contributes a percentage of its proceeds to support animal rescues.
