Friends of Contra Costa Animal Shelters (FOCCAS) is dedicated to improving the lives of shelter animals in Contra Costa County. Our mission includes finding loving foster and permanent homes for these animals. We provide low-cost spay and neuter programs to help control the pet population and are committed to reducing the euthanasia of healthy animals in local shelters. We also coordinate training and education services to help keep companion animals in their homes. Our organization promotes responsible pet ownership within the community and supports local shelters in identifying and implementing enhancements to the services they offer for their animals.

Adoption process
The adoption process includes a thorough screening and, if deemed necessary, a home visit. Ongoing behavioral training support is also provided. The adoption fee is $150, which covers the cost of spaying or neutering, vaccinations, and microchipping. Additionally, adopters will receive a "welcome home" kit.
