Kate's Rescue for Animals in Los Banos, CA

My name is Julia Souders. After volunteering for six months at my local shelter, I felt a strong desire to further assist animals in need. This motivation led me to establish an animal rescue organization. I quickly recognized the need to support low-income members of my community by providing access to affordable spay and neuter services, thereby reducing the number of animals entering the shelter. I secured funding to create a low-income spay/neuter program, offering the procedure for just $20, as well as a Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) program for feral cats in the area. My organization collaborates closely with the local shelter to facilitate the transfer of animals into permanent homes.

Adoption process

The adoption process begins with the completion of an adoption application. If the application is approved, a home check will be conducted, and an adoption contract must be signed before the animal is released to the new owner. Adoption fees range from $140 to $200. Potential adopters are required to have a fenced yard, ensure the animal will have access to the inside of the home, and have current pets that are up to date on vaccinations and spayed or neutered.
