The mission of Thulani Senior German Shepherd Rescue is to rescue and provide care for senior or terminally ill German Shepherd Dogs facing life-threatening situations. Our goal is to find loving homes where these dogs can enjoy their remaining time in comfort and peace. We prioritize the quality of life for each dog, rather than focusing solely on their medical conditions.

Adoption process

Our adoption process is thorough and designed to ensure the best match between adopters and dogs. Potential adopters must meet the following criteria: - Reside in California or in nearby areas of neighboring states. - Complete an Adoption Questionnaire, which can be submitted online or by mail. If you do not own your home, your landlord must also complete a Landlord Letter. - Participate in an interview with an adoption counselor. - Allow for a home visit, which can be conducted either in person or virtually, by an adoption counselor. - Receive approval for adoption. - Choose a dog, and be chosen by the right dog. - Sign our Adoption Agreement with our approval. There is no adoption fee required.
