Adoption Process
The adoption process includes the completion of an adoption application, a home evaluation, and the signing of an adoption contract. A donation of $300 is required. All pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations.

The Little Red Dog, Inc in Lake Forest, CA
Dogs are often referred to as man's best friend, but the relationship is not always reciprocal. The Little Red Dog was established in memory of a red American Pit Bull Terrier who tragically did not survive. This story is reminiscent of the Michael Vick dog fighting case, which is detailed in "The Lost Dogs: Michael Vick's Dogs and Their Tale of Rescue and Redemption." The Little Red Dog suffered a brutal fate at the hands of Vick and his associates simply for resisting exploitation. It is time to challenge the prejudice against American Pit Bull Terriers, to put an end to breed discrimination, and to open our hearts and minds to all animals. In return, they offer us immense love and companionship. The Little Red Dog advocates for all dogs, regardless of their color or breed, including red, blue, tan, white, brown, and black. We do not discriminate against any breed because we are a genuine rescue organization committed to helping as many animals as possible. Our primary goal is to place these dogs into loving homes. We hope that one day all dogs will find their way out of difficult situations, but we will always remember the Little Red Dog and the many others who did not.
