Compassion for Canines Inc

We are a non-profit organization operated by volunteers dedicated to animal rescue. The adoption donation we request helps to partially cover the costs associated with rescuing animals. These expenses include shelter fees, spaying and neutering, food, housing, vaccinations, deworming, microchipping, and any necessary veterinary examinations or medical care. The adoption donation you provide plays a crucial role in enabling us to save the lives of the dogs we assist, as it allows us to continue our mission. Before placing any dog in a permanent home, we conduct thorough behavioral and health screenings to ensure they are fit for adoption. Behavioral screening involves assessing how the dogs interact with children, the elderly, cats, dogs, and other animals. We also evaluate their reactions to various situations, checking for issues such as nipping, fear of sudden movements, excessive jumping, sensitivity to touch, and destructive chewing behaviors. Medical screening includes deworming, ensuring the dogs are current on vaccinations, free of parasites and contagious diseases, treating any pre-existing medical conditions, and confirming that they are healthy within manageable limits.
