Adoption Process

The adoption process begins with the completion of a preliminary form. If you qualify, you will then need to fill out a detailed adoption application. After that, an adoption contract will be provided, followed by a home visit. Once all steps are completed, the cat will be available for adoption. The requirements include that the cat must not be declawed and should be kept indoors only.

With over 40 years of experience in animal rescue, I founded Valley Cats, Inc. in 1999. We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization comprised entirely of volunteers, dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation, and re-homing of cats. Unlike dogs, stray and abandoned cats often remain hidden in neighborhoods and vacant lots, and our mission is to support these vulnerable animals. We focus on rescuing cats and kittens in distress, many of whom arrive injured, ill, fearful, or abandoned. Our team works diligently to prepare them for adoption. As a no-kill organization, our volunteers and Board of Directors are committed to preserving the life and dignity of every animal in our care.
