Pets Hope / TLC in Simi Valley, CA
This initiative is a collaboration between two rescue organizations. TLC, a nonprofit organization, conducts weekly adoption events at PETCO in Moorpark, California. Pets Hope LLC, which is not yet a nonprofit, operates a pet shop in a large mall in Simi Valley and has been open for six months, exclusively featuring rescued dogs and cats. TLC facilitates the transfer of dogs to the pet shop, which serves as an extended adoption venue, available for showcasing pets seven days a week. This arrangement aims to provide greater visibility and adoption opportunities for dogs and cats throughout the month, especially for those animals that can adapt to the pet shop environment. For those pets that may not handle this setting well, TLC visits the pet shop every Sunday to showcase them in designated areas.
