Adoption Process

Potential adopters must complete an application, which, upon approval, will lead to the signing of a contract. The adoption fees are $200 for kittens and $160 for adult cats. All cats are spayed or neutered, tested for FeLV (and FIV for adults), vaccinated, dewormed, and treated for fleas. Adoption counselors assess whether the family is a suitable match for the cat they wish to adopt.

Service Areas

Our service areas include Solano County, California, and Marin County, California.

Cat Tales Rescue in Vacaville, CA

Cat Tales Rescue is a non-profit organization run entirely by volunteers, dedicated to addressing the issues of homelessness and overpopulation among unwanted and feral cats in Solano County. We promote low-cost spay and neuter options while educating the community on the importance of these services. We advocate for Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) as an effective method to control feral cat populations and ensure the health of these colonies. In addition, we provide education on TNR practices and proper management of feral cat colonies. Our organization rescues abandoned cats from various sources, including our communities, feral colonies, and shelters where cats are at risk of euthanasia, depending on our resources and available foster homes. We assist the public, caretakers of feral colonies, and shelter rescuers in finding loving, permanent homes for cats in need.
