Adoption Process

Before selecting a dog, please consider your lifestyle and the needs of the dog. If you are interested in adopting a puppy under 11 months old, ensure that any children in your home are at least six years old. It is important for everyone in your household to spend time interacting with the dog you wish to adopt. If you have another dog, please bring them along to meet the selected dog. All household members and pets must meet the dog prior to adoption. Next, complete an adoption application form. Please note that submitting an application does not guarantee adoption. An Adoption Counselor will review your application. If approved, you will be asked to provide pictures or videos to verify that your fencing and gates are secure and that your yard is safe for the dog. No dog will be adopted without a home check. In the event that multiple applications are received for the same dog, our adoption committee will choose the home that best meets the dog’s needs. The entire adoption process may take up to one week. It is finalized once an Adoption Contract is signed and the non-refundable adoption fee is paid. Our non-refundable adoption fees are as follows: - $300 for puppies up to 6 months old - $250 for puppies over 6 months old and under 1 year old - $225 for dogs 1 year old and under 8 years old - $175 for senior dogs aged 8 years and older If you are able to contribute more than the adoption fee, please do so, as any additional amount is tax-deductible. If you are unable to do this, we appreciate donations of dog toys, beds, blankets, and other necessary items during the holiday season. Lastly, please encourage friends who admire your dog to adopt instead of breeding or purchasing.
