Companion Animal Rehabilitation Emergency Medical Fund in Chandler, AZ
C.A.R.E. Medical Fund offers emergency medical funding and assistance to companion animals in shelters. Originally, C.A.R.E. served as a financial resource for small, local shelters lacking in-house medical care. Over time, we have evolved into a medical-only rescue organization, developing life-saving programs that protect and preserve the lives of at-risk shelter pets.

Adopting from this shelter
Adoption process
The adoption process begins with the completion of an Adoption Application. After we receive your application, you will be contacted within 48 hours. Next, your application will be assigned to a volunteer who will arrange a home visit. This visit allows us to better understand your family and lifestyle, ensuring you are matched with a dog that fits well. It is important that all members of your family are present during this home visit. Once your application is approved, the foster home will reach out to you. Since all of our dogs are in foster care, approval is necessary before you can meet any of our rescue dogs. The foster home will then schedule a meet-and-greet. All family members must be present for this meeting. If you have other pets, a controlled introduction will also take place to ensure everyone gets along well. After meeting your potential new pet, you will have 24 hours to make a decision. It is important to communicate your decision to the foster home within this timeframe; otherwise, they will reach out to the next family on the list. Once you decide to proceed with the adoption, an Adoption Agreement will be completed, and you will receive all relevant medical and vaccination information. All our rescues have been spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped, and medical history from our veterinary partners will be included. The adoption fee will then be collected, and you will be able to take your new family member home.
