Adoption Process

At Pathways for Paws, every dog and puppy receives a comprehensive health check, vaccinations, grooming, microchipping, and spaying or neutering. We thoroughly vet each prospective adopter through interviews and home visits to ensure a suitable match. Our goal is to pair each dog with a family that aligns with their temperament, activity level, family dynamics, and home environment. Adoption fees range from $100 to $250.

Pathways for Paws in Tucson, AZ

Stefanie and Ashley founded this organization in October 2019. Both actively manage the organization while maintaining full-time jobs. Stefanie is responsible for intake, kenneling, reviewing adoption applications, conducting meet and greets, and finalizing adoptions. Ashley serves as the social media director, overseeing the website, posting available dogs on various adoption platforms, and assisting Stefanie with daily operations. The organization offers low-cost spay/neuter services, vaccinations, and microchipping to the community. Additionally, we distribute free, pre-packaged dog food to those in need. Our mission is to support vulnerable animals and contribute to preventing the overpopulation of unwanted, neglected, and abused pets.
