Adoption Process

The adoption process begins with the submission of an adoption questionnaire. Once the questionnaire is reviewed, the adoption coordinator will contact the adopter to discuss their needs and preferences. Next, meet and greets, along with home checks, will be scheduled. If everything is satisfactory, the adoption contract will be signed, and the dog will be placed in its new home. Adoption fees, which are subject to change in the future, are as follows: $800 for puppies, $475 for dogs aged 1 to 5 years, and $375 for dogs aged 5 years and older or those with special needs.

Dane Haven, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization established by volunteers passionate about the Great Dane breed. Our mission is to assist Great Danes that have been neglected, abused, abandoned, or surrendered by their owners. Our volunteers have extensive experience working with Great Danes as well as collaborating with other rescue organizations. The dogs that enter our rescue are placed in foster homes until they are matched with permanent families. Our organization is funded entirely through donations, fundraising efforts, and adoption fees. All contributions are dedicated to providing medical treatment, spaying and neutering, training, food, and supplies for the dogs in our care. The primary goal of Dane Haven, Inc. is to improve the lives of Great Danes and to connect them with loving families that will offer them a permanent home. We are committed to making a difference in the lives of Danes that might otherwise not have a chance for a better future.
