National Anatolian Shepherd Rescue Network

The National Anatolian Shepherd Rescue Network (NASRN) is a nationwide, 501(c)(3) recognized non-profit organization dedicated to finding safe and caring homes for unwanted, displaced, and abandoned Anatolian Shepherd Dogs (ASDs). In addition to purebred ASDs, our efforts also include Anatolian crosses, as we recognize that these dogs often share many of the unique characteristics and needs of purebred Anatolians and are frequently the result of irresponsible breeding practices. Our organization is made up of both working and pet owners of ASDs who have united to assist homeless and displaced Anatolians in finding new opportunities for a fulfilling life. NASRN collaborates with owners who can no longer care for their Anatolians, helping to place these dogs in more suitable environments. However, we do not facilitate placements for dogs when the owner is requesting a fee or attempting to sell their ASD. We also partner directly with shelters to rescue dogs, placing them in foster care or directly into new homes. Our commitment extends to all Anatolians and their crosses, regardless of age or health status. Additionally, we provide assistance to owners of ASDs and other Livestock Guardian breeds who are facing challenges, aiming to keep these dogs in their current homes. NASRN offers ongoing support to families who adopt ASDs, helping them navigate any issues they may encounter. When possible, we also collaborate with other Livestock Guardian rescue groups to assist in finding homes for additional Livestock Guardian breeds.
