Spencer, our son, is a remarkable young man with a deep love for animals. His passion has inspired our family to rescue dogs for many years. During his high school years, he participated in vocational training, which allowed him to work part-time. His initial experience at a veterinary clinic was not fulfilling, as his duties were limited to cleaning without direct interaction with the animals. However, we found an excellent opportunity for him at Woodland West Animal Hospital, where he was able to work with animals and truly thrive. Spencer's enthusiasm for animal welfare led him to become the first student at his high school to establish an animal rescue club, engaging fellow students in volunteering and supporting local animal rescues. This initiative marked just the beginning of his journey. He later connected with the Oklahoma Alliance for Animals in Tulsa, where he received guidance and support, enabling him to further develop his skills. Spencer participated in adoption events and assisted animals affected by natural disasters such as wildfires and tornadoes. He also advocated for spaying and neutering to promote responsible pet ownership. As his parents, we take great pride in the compassionate young man Spencer has become. His mission in life is to ensure that all animals find loving, forever homes. One special rescue, a dog named Bubba, has captured Spencer's heart. The bond between them is profound, and Spencer considers Bubba to be his closest companion. When we began helping him realize his dream of starting his own rescue organization, he chose the name "Bubba's Rescue." His mission for this endeavor is clear: he aims to ensure that all animals have homes, eliminating the need for further rescues.
