Adoption Process

The adoption process begins with the submission of an application, which can be found at the provided link. A fee of $50 is required, which covers the comprehensive veterinary care for the cat, including spaying or neutering, vaccinations, parasite treatment, and any necessary medical care until the adoption is finalized. We conduct thorough vetting of potential adopters, which includes checking references from a veterinarian and landlord. Additionally, adopters must agree to return the cat to our rescue if they need to rehome it, refrain from declawing, and keep the cat up to date on vaccinations.

We are a newly established cat rescue organization located in Charleston, West Virginia, officially recognized as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit by the IRS. Our organization is managed by Cindy Limer and Regina Cordell, who have been friends for 40 years and have decided to formalize their commitment to animal welfare. Our mission is to rescue and support stray, unwanted, or abandoned cats, addressing the significant issue of overpopulation in West Virginia through education and community outreach. We provide comprehensive rescue services and are rapidly expanding, thanks to the generosity of donors and the support of volunteers. As a Registered Veterinary Technician, I am able to reduce some operational costs by conducting certain medical tests in-house.
