Adoption Process

Our dog adoption fee is $300, and our cat adoption fee is $250, regardless of age or breed. To be considered as a potential adopter or foster, all pets in your home must be up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, and spayed or neutered. We require most puppies and some high-energy adult dogs to be placed in homes with a fenced yard. All animals adopted from us will be spayed or neutered prior to finalizing the adoption. However, we recognize the importance of allowing young animals to grow properly before this procedure. Therefore, animals under nine months old will be placed in a 'foster to adopt' arrangement. This means they can live with an approved adopter as unaltered animals while remaining the property of our organization. Foster to adopt arrangements will involve monthly check-ins until the animal is fixed, and may include occasional home visits to monitor the animal's well-being.

Service Areas

RR will adopt adult animals to any location within the continental United States, provided there are sufficient approved volunteers to facilitate transportation and a RR representative is available in your area. However, young puppies under six months of age are generally not approved for long-distance transport due to safety concerns, and we prefer to keep them closer to their original location.
