Adoption Process

All applicants are required to complete an application, which will be reviewed. We will verify references and confirm home ownership. A pre-approval home visit is necessary to ensure the safety of the cat. Once approved, the adopter must sign our adoption agreement, which stipulates that if they can no longer care for the cat, it must be returned to WWR. The adopter also agrees not to declaw the cat and to keep it indoors. The adoption fee is $75, which covers sterilization, testing for FELV/FIV and heartworms, all vaccinations, and a microchip.

Whisker Wishes Rescue in Atoka, TN

WWR was established in 2018 following years of experience in fostering and private rescue efforts. Located in rural West Tennessee, we recognized that the local shelter does not provide veterinary care and frequently resorts to euthanasia to manage intake numbers. WWR was created to alleviate the challenges faced by other rescues in the area.
