Adoption process
To adopt an animal, interested individuals must fill out an application on our website. Once submitted, I will forward the application to the adoption coordinator, who will conduct an interview with the potential adopter. This process includes obtaining veterinary and personal references, as well as performing a home visit before finalizing the adoption. Our adopted animals are required to live indoors and must visit a veterinarian at least once a year. If an adopter is unable to keep the pet, it must be returned to us. The adoption fee is $150 in Tennessee; however, for adoptions in New England, the fee may be higher due to transportation costs and additional veterinary care required for crossing state lines.
