Adoption Process

The adoption process begins with the completion of an online application. Following this, we conduct a veterinary reference check. Next, a phone interview is held to discuss the application further. Once the application is approved, the dog's adoption status is marked as pending. All puppies are up to date on vaccinations and spayed or neutered before adoption. For local adopters, a meet and greet or home visit is arranged. Upon finalizing the adoption, an adoption contract is signed, and the adoption fees, which range from $150 to $250 depending on the age of the puppy or dog, are collected. We will follow up with the family over the next few days to ensure a smooth transition. Finally, the dog's status is updated to "adopted" on our websites.

Safe Haven Puppy Sanctuary Inc in Cookeville, TN

We are a puppy rescue organization dedicated to rescuing mothers and puppies from shelters, as well as abandoned or stray animals. We collaborate with a rescue partner in the northern region, where some of our dogs are transported for care. This partner ensures that all rescued animals are fully vetted and spayed or neutered before they are placed for adoption. Additionally, we retain some of the puppies for adoption through our own organization, and they also receive complete veterinary care and are spayed or neutered prior to adoption.
