Adoption Process

Adopters are required to complete an Adoption Contract. All animals are spayed or neutered and are up to date on relevant vaccinations. The adoption fee is $100.00.

Grainger County Humane Society in Rutledge, TN

The Grainger County Humane Society does not receive funding from local government or external sources. It relies solely on donations from individuals and businesses, as well as volunteer efforts. Currently, we do not operate an animal shelter or have an Animal Control Officer. All activities are carried out by volunteers. Our immediate goal is to establish a Spay/Neuter Clinic, while our long-term objectives include developing a Shelter/Adoption Facility and hiring an Animal Control Officer.
